    anyone NOT running 8" numbers?

rules say that you need 8" numbers on the front.
i wanted to put my # plate left of center on the bike when i put the new plates on but 8" #s wont quite fit. 6" will but not 8.
so is there anyone else with an off center plate that has to run smaller #s and will i get bitched at? Martire?

Tony(the guy with the RVF400) ran small numbers left of center on the front of his bike last year and had no problems.

OK, you didn't here this from me............

I had 5" on the front and 6" on the tail. They newer bikes are a little more difficult to get 8" numbers on. As long as they are legible, there shouldn't be a problem. Just DON'T go to tech and say "Martire said it was OK"

I've just printed out this post just in case they try to tell me that I need bigger #s. I'm not going to say "Martire said it was OK"... I'm just going to show my printout. Thanks, Mike!

You try reading # when you are standing and I am traveling at 70+ mph
Go big. This is an issue. Apparently not in tech. Cornerworking is another issue.

just print this thread and bring it to tech...

Small numbers suck for cornerworkers.... sometimes take 2-3 laps to figure out what bike to call if there is a problem.
