How do I go about securing these plugs for racing? Do these absolutely have to be safety wired, or may I just use silicone on them?

I see these siliconed on everyones bikes.
Pretty sure on both of my bikes these are not wired or siliconed. I dont believe it's required. I could be wrong though. I should prob go look, lol.

No need to do anything with them but if you're not comfortable with that, dab 'em with some hi-temp RTV
i was gonna say, but already some of the people who commented cover me, that seems really unnecessary to me.
mine arent done either. nor are my header bolts.
what NEEDS to be done are:
Fork pinch bolts
front axle
caliper bolts
coolant drain
radiator cap
oil fill
oil drain
oil filter
rear axle
the bolt that connects the muffler to the hanger
rear caliper (mines not but never been hassled)
i think that just about covers the MUST DOs

i personally dont get the header thing. where are they gonna go? into the belly pan?
rear caliper, while i can see why it should be done, seems a bit excessive. whens the last time you removed a rear caliper? the front ones get done all the time to remove the wheel so that increases the chances of them not being torqued properly. my bike is 11 years old (holy shit my bike is 11 years old!!!) and the rear caliper has NEVER been unbolted.

I unbolt my rear caliper every time I take the rear wheel off.
