I'm not retarded - I'm from Maine. And I can't find shit about how to get into amateur supermoto racing here in New England... can any of you ladies help me out? I have some uber-basic questions; I've tried looking at amasupermoto.com but it seems annoyingly hard to navigate.
What's a basic bike cost (already setup) & where and how often are races? Gracias, amigos.
Ladies??

The closest you can get to Supermotard is racing Motard at LRRS. Frome what I know.![]()

In New England... your screwed.
ESMRA.com - Eastern Supermoto Racing Association New gig this year. Mainly races at Englishtown NJ, and Cuddebackville NY (Oakland Valley Race Park). There are a few out in PA at BeaveRun...
Its still pretty new in the amateur classes, so the dirt sections arn't super nice, and your basically riding on kart tracks. Still a lot of fun, and some good competition. But from where you are, the best bet would be NHIS.
What do you have for a motard?
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

Doc: Thanks, I'll look into it - but LRRS' web page kinda sucks...
hardcore: It's not a requirement, but it sure helps
rebelpacket: I don't have a SM. I was thinking that, if there was some fun local competition (I'm slower than molasses in a Maine winter) I would pick up a cheaper, older bike to have a go with. How often do they run at NHIS? Do you know what's eligible (two-strokes allowed?) and what entry fees typically run?
