Kind of a letdown in the final. I'm not really that impressed with any of the X Games Supermoto events I've seen. I always thought real supermoto was supposed to be 70% street/30% dirt. Seems like the X tracks are the other way around. Boring asphalt, crazy supercross dirt sections. I realize these guys are the best of the best, but these tracks are a bit over the top.
+1....the race was over when burkhart (sp?) crashed on the opening lap. after that it was like watching wardy in free practice.
also +1 on the track set up. too much dirt jumpy jumps. a dirt section with a double or 2 would be fine, one does not need to use an entire arena cross track.
the lack of a hayden was also kinda lame...but nicky has more important things to worry about than x-games. i bet his ankle was fine, some boss from HRC probably saw the course and said hell no you aren't doing that.
I thought the track was awesome might not have been a TRUE supermoto track, but it was cool. That one polished section of the concrete puckered up my butthole everytime they showed it. But I thought it was a fun course, yah, Ward ran away with it, but the good thing about that course is one mistake and everyone would've been back in it, he just rode flawlessly.
All I know is no motard guys are EVERY allowed to complain about lack of runoff at Loudon. I couldnt believe the lack of runoff/airfence at some points on that track.
No Runoff at all...did you see the guy in heat 1 I think slide right by the air fence and into the concrete.
It was funny, they made it sound like Hayden couldn;t handle the dirt section so he dropped out. I agree, someone from HRC put the stop on it. No way Hayden couldnt ride the dirt.
Supa Motarded! If you see me backin it in, keep watching...Im about to crash
