Track walk during race weekend?

I know there are track walks at some of the track days but what about when the racing surface is officially closed? Be it in the morning or evening.

I've really only seen NHMS at speed which mean I have alot of unanswered questions concerning certain areas of the track.....questions that can't be answered with words.

So, is a track walk during race weekend possible?

You'll be amazed at how horrible the pavement is. It wasn't what I was expecting.

I've done it a few times as well....you have to kinda hop the fence since the gates are locked but they don't mind it. We went to do it once and saw the locks...asked Jeff Wood and thats what he told us to do haha.

I walked it every race weekend for years. It is always fresh because as your riding progresses, you learn more and more about the track. One look is not enough IMO.

Im not usually interested in 1.5 mile walks, but the second you said fence jumping it peaked my interest

im debating on it. supposivly the paving trucks were out the other day fixing the corners

You can get through the gate at 3 if you limbo it or jump it depending on how tall/short you are.
This is after the race so you have to hustle or its pretty dark out there.
It is cool to walk it you see and feel things closer,

I did a track walk with Paul last season. It's amazing how much more you see when actually on the track surface. It is again amazing how much you see when a veteran racer is pointing things out to you...
