does anyone kno why lrrs uses the transponders that seem to be the most expensive. i looked on the ccs website and the company they use for transponders have them as low as $80 to $190..
The westhold company sells them from a link form the ccs website and says up to 300mph.. http://www.westhold.com/products_timing.html - check it out
ohh - got yah.. im always looking to save money- prob cost alot for track to switch rather than save me 150bucks..
AMB is a leader in transponder/timing/scoring.
The big goofy UGLY transponders CCS maybe cheape but they dont really do much. All it will provide you with is your best lap of a session (at least posted at the track).
AMB is a much bigger company, their stuff works the best and like you mentioned, the track is setup for AMB.
That and CCS makes you mount that big ugly box on your tail section.
And with that you get companies that make things like this http://www.blindapex.com/timers.html
