I saw the crash rule, no idea what they were thinking on that one but given the discussions on such topics in the past I'm not surprised it passed. I don't recall it ever being a problem at any of the races I've been at?
I remember that WERA had that rule 22 years ago.
Something stupid happened to Mike Smith on the starting grid at one race. He didn't drop the bike, more like a controlled gentle laying down of the bike. But since the handlebar touched the ground, he had to immediately report to Tech.
I checked their rulebook a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't find it.
