I try not to be negative nancy in life, but reality is reality.

I did not market my soccer company this year.

I plan to do so next year.

I can without any doubt guarantee you that none of the negative sponsor bashers in this thread will be part of that conversation.

Multiply my thoughts by...let's say 100 and you're now getting a glimpse into the business side of racing.

My 2012 ROTY suit still sits unworn because it does not fit. Got tired of dealing with them.. I keep it as a trophy now.

My 2004 ROTY suit still sits unworn not because it doesn't fit ... quite the contrary, it fits very well and Vanson was great to work with back in 2005. My suit sits unworn because it is a trophy and I don't want to mess it all up by crashing the sh*t out of it. I'd rather buy second hand suits for pennies on the dollar and trash them instead. Sometimes wish they had just given me a trophy instead ... I would have endured far less teasing from garage-mates over the years.

So, I had a completely different experience with Vanson ... but the same result.

I can also assure you that when I represent somebody/thing as a sponsored athlete, it's the best somebody/thing that ever existed.
I also don't take the time to seek out any sponsorship I don't physically need nor want to represent. Things have got ugly here in the past because I made fun of cats doing just that: pursuing sponsorship just to say "I'm sponsored".

I've known bergs as a racer and TD instructor for several years.
Homies' been out the game a couple years, but he's as solid as they come, despite getting bitchy here from time to time.

Vanson has a history of being way off with their time estimates and being a hassle to get the exact product you ordered out of.

Well, technically, they didn't dump 15k into LRRS. They awarded certificates which have no cash value, are not transferable and expire.

Having won one, I appreciate that they did that, don't get me wrong, but it's not the same as if they had awarded me $200 cash per championship.

Because you have so many companies awarding you any cash amount in the AM rankings or even EX in most cases at a one track series.

Vanson awarded every single AM champion. Including P-89L. A class that had one entry this entire year. And I don't mean one competitor all year. I mean there was one person who did one race in that class.

Who else does that?
I am not defending them and I'm just saying let's be a bit more thankful for the effort and money they put in our series. We should be welcoming that shit not criticize it.

I would love to see 1/3 of what Vanson did from helmet sponsors. I would to love to have a $300 *instert helmet company here for them.

Or even a $50 certificate for gas or even the track restaurant.

I don't care when I do or don't get a suit. I'm thankful they offered.

Fallacy is a word used to explain why you think Vanson's history is what it is based off a tiny subset of users in LRRS.

You're a good dude and I haven't told you to pound sand like Bergs but just like you said to me, you're way off. Vanson is the most respected name on the grid out west and in many global racing circles. LRRS is not everything.
