Okay so in all seriousness, their support of LRRS and their customer support should really be two separate topics, even though it's very difficult to separate them.

I'm serious about being thankful that they give back to the LRRS community. It's an extremely generous gesture. To my knowledge, no other company does that to the extent that they do.

But really.... SO many horror stories. Enough that you can't just NOT bring them up.... And if sponsors are looking for people that shut their mouths and censor themselves when it comes to saying anything HONEST about a company, well that's not a sponsor I want to be associated with. I'd much rather work with a company that's willing to LISTEN to constructive criticism and work to IMPROVE themselves, just like I do.

For those who have chosen to buy from Vanson, that's cool, I have no problem with that, just as I have no problem with them giving money out at the Banquet. If your customer experience worked out well then I'm pumped and I'm almost certain you got an amazing product. But for those who chose to buy and suffered the same headaches that so many others have shared.... well, it just sucks. Their customer service is just a huge black eye on what SHOULD be a top 5 name in the rider protection industry.

Yeah I'm a noob so I don't know the history, don't really want to spend any of my day reading old threads either. That said...

Bought a used Vanson suit on here at the start of the season. Lost 25 pounds and needed to get it altered. I brought it to their shop, they measured me, quoted me $250 and 2 weeks. They called me in 10 days and said my suit was ready, it fit very nicely. That's a win for them in my book.

I don't know what their reasons were for sucking in the past. Businesses are certainly capable of going through periods of suck, just like individuals are. While that might not alleviate any past butt hurt from customers who were effected, they certainly did right by me. If you think that an individual who is a piece of shit has the capacity to turn their act around, it's certainly plausible that a business is also capable.

Yeah I had heard the stories, but went in and ordered a suit last summer. It took six weeks to make, and fit great the first time. It did take one week longer to make than Vanson told me it would take. They had lent me a brand new suit to use, which I crashed in. They weren't worried about that. I'm happy everything went well for me, and it was nice to spend my money so close to home. I was expecting things to not go so smooth, and was prepared for that, but Vanson was great.

I brought my suit to vanson for repairs twice this year. They were done in time and they threw in a hat to boot. Cheaper than Roberto too. I've heard the horror stories but never experienced them.
