Figured I'd post up my current experience:
12/31/14 - Emailed Vanson repairs asking how their work load looks currently
1/2/15 - Nicole responded, noting 2 to 3 week turn around times currently.
1/20/15 - Suit shipped via USPS
1/22/15 - Arrived at Vanson
2/9/15 - Nicole emailed with an estimate, I approved the work plus some additional stuff the same day.
2/11/15 - Another woman at Vanson called to give me the final charge (under the estimate), setup payment and verify my address. I just got UPS notification with a tracking number for my suit, estimated delivery by UPS is tomorrow, 2/12/15.
So, just over 3 weeks from me mailing it out to getting it back.

Tas is a pretty straight forward guy (he used to put me back together in college sports) - anyone else I'd assume it was a joke. I actually thought he *might* be serious and skipped the vulgar reply out of my respect for him as a kickass dude.
<insert short jokes>

Don't worry about the vulgar jokes, I can take them and dish out a few if needed. I was just referencing a scene from the TV show Freinds and if there was "cupping" from the male tailor.
Back a few years ago I would say Chris was a tough guy but by the way he is spelling his name now I would say things have changed, a lot! Suppose that's what the west coast will do to you.
Sorry to derail the thread. Back on topic.

FYI - I took delivery of an absolutely gorgeous suit last week. Vanson missed their self set deadline by 2 weeks while they re-did sections of the suit that didn't meet their safety standard on a FREE suit.
I give them all the credit in the world for communicating clearly, good cusomter service and ultimately the product they produced.
I'll wear it with pride.

Suit fits and looks great, it's breaking in nicely.

Despite the shenanigans, it's nice this has a happy ending.

I'm with you. No matter what path I go down in life, there's always a huge collection of naysayers.
Half the fun is showing them they're just negative and that good things still happen.
It's all in writing earlier in this thread - Vanson will never come through, it'll take forever, blah blah blah. None of that happened and the suit is gorgeous. I'm very thankful for Vanson's support of LRRS and the racing community.

That picture makes me miss racing in the worst way....fuck.
On that front, do you have more pictures. Details of which model or whatever you bought?
I was just talking to a rider the other night who dismissed Vanson out of hand because of style concerns. I have no such concerns. But I am curious.
And just to stir the pot; what do we think of their 2-piece "race" suits? (RR22 I believe it is called.)
I could start a thread if folks prefer.
I got the double zip front style (I forget what they call that). After that, I simply sent them a pic of Jonathon Rea's suit and then made minor adjustments to the proof they sent me afterwards. They were very receptive and easy to work with.
As for the 2 piece suits - I went that route with Vanson years ago. The problem is the elastic waistband on the pants - it binds around the hip flexors and is uncomfortable after you're on the bike for a little while. I'd highly suggest going for a 1 piece suit if racing, no matter the manufacturer.

I believe that the top shelf double zip is called the Volante One (VO93).
