The next young Gun...... Jake Vader

Some of you have seen Jake Vader in the parking during TTD on the little YSR 50. He just makes it looks so easy at what he was doing. His father Jeff is looking to get him into a 125 next year for racing. Currently 13 Jake has been watching his pops on the track at track days and coming up to the track to watch the racing and is loving it. He has a soft demeanor and constantly looking, studying and analyzing everything. I think he is going to do very well. If you have any leads on decent 125's or would like to help out in trying to help this young gun your support will be greatly appreciated. I'll probably be devoting a lot of time to help them out.

Jake practicing getting his lean on. He just needs some polishing. But yea, he’s got that drive and ambition.

No comments about his attire. He has already worn holes in his jeans at the knees. Plans to get him equipped are already being looked into.

As far as gear, if he can't find full leathers cheap, the PB guys have leather/textile suits available in youth sizes that work well at PB speeds (Below 60mph) for practice.

If he can't find an RS125 in time, I'd be willing to toss him on my 70 for a TD. It'll get him up to 100mph, and is sprung/damped about right for us 'lighter' riders.

If I get anything going for indoor play this winter, I'd love to have him come up and bang bars with us also.

Might be good to get him into a little if competition to play around and get the feel. I've mentioned the Pembroke track to them which is 15-20 min away from them before but it is a little late in the season now.

We do some parking lot riding where my boss's sun philippe rides his XR90. I would say he is about 12 or 13 also.

Joel (formerly buddha, then nopants, now i dunno) got his for like 3 grand with spares... he has ridden it for a total of like 8 laps (rookie race and a practice) and then stopped racing... maybe you could convince him to sell it...

NEMM should be quite active again next year. Especially with there own track in works. It will be a little bit of a haul to Maine,and the track in VT but would get him some seat time in competition. I would be willing to work with them if they need a bike to use with there events.
