I was about 50 ft behind him when that happened. With my more.... ahem....."conventional" line into 1, I got to see the whole thing. I almost missed 1a myself cause I was almost turned around watching that shit. I got back into the pits and my peeps were all clapping me on the back wanting to talk about a pass I made in 11; all I could say was "did you see that save in 1?"

wow. sounded like he was full throttle at #2 marker. and with all of the open track to his left why the tire route? he could have just "Nascar'd the turn, in lieu of trying to go left he actually chose right... into tires.
