I hate sunburns and sleeping in the water.
Fun weekend but I didn't get to watch as much of the races as I wanted because it was too fuckin hot out. Sand up and sweat.
I had fun though and thanks again Bryan.
Here are some pics that I took from the weekend. The Aprilia is Trackdog in his first race weekend.
pete (OreoGaborio) was there...
so weren't Jane (Jaynnus) and Erin (DarkChylde something or other)

This was my first time up at the races and damn, what a blast! Great to see everyone ripping around the track, hanging out.
What an absolute amazing atmosphere there...definitely heading back in July.
I'm also hoping that watching people's lines as a spectator might help my track day in a couple of weeks![]()
It was cool seeing everyone up there this weekend![]()
It's unreal the difference in weather from race weekend to race weekend, the last weekend it was in the 30s at night and 40s during the day, this past one it got up to 96 on Saturday and stayed around 70 at night![]()
I've got some more pictures and i'll get up a quick report in a day or so, it was a great weekend![]()
And Nikon, i know you gots some more pictures with something yellow showing, lets see them![]()
Yamaha
talk about a wet fuckin ride home... i hung around for a while helpin people out as best I could pack up stuff, load up bikes etc before jumpin on my own bike & rippin back to my parents place... it was 70 mile trip and about 50 miles of it was WET... WET... WET... WET... FUCKIN WET. i woulda taken off my leather jacket & gloves if i didn't think it'd feel like i was getting shot w/ a bb gun.
other than that it was a great weekend, other than the downer ending (big downer)

i dont know if he means the downer ending was the rain or the fact that Erin (darkchylde51) crashed and may have broken something![]()

GWS Erin, and Degsy, and anyone else who's still feeling the effects of the hot humid race temps...
BTW, I assume that was you in the red Dodge with the AZTrackday sticker in the rear window? Don't think we got a chance for a proper introduction, there was a hell of a lot of people there saturday...nice looking truck though.
yeah that was me.. i wasnt in a very good mood though...i moved furniture all day in that heatand then my "friend" couldnt even do me a little favor when i called him.
and Erin crashed on her 2nd race in T1 and i heard she may have broken her leg or knee or something![]()
upon inspection of the bike and my crash analysis i beleive she high sided and the bike landed on her leg. there were black scuff marks on the frame (probably from her boot) and there was minimal damage but the frame slider never hit the ground which tells me something was between the bike and the ground....her leg
ps .....bring the king back!

Craig. You DEF want to get up there when you can comfortably sit in the bowl or in a turn and really get into watching it. This weekend was just too damn hot to get out there. I had a blast this weekend (minus sleeping in a puddle) and I only got to see a few of the races. Usually during the day we go from spot to spot and check out the different turns and everthing.Originally posted by craig

I think that my shower when I got home was less wet than my ride home was..... I made it to the junct of 25 and 25c, stopped and got gas and a slice of pizzah. Looked out the window and it was comin down.... Ran out and got the bags covered and sat under the overhang by these canadian hardley riders lookin at me funny cause I was going in the wrong direction from Laconia and had gear on. It let up ever so slightly and I decided that I was gonna get wet anyway - might as well get geared up. I get going and head up to the top of the mtn by the lake on 25c and this black cloud of death of rollin in. This was the blackest cloud that I have ever seen. It was unreal to think of what was gonna happen when I went through it. The "Death Cloud" was enveloping me. I get to the peak of the mtn and BABOOOOOMMMM. at the same time of the most rediculous clap of thunder I have ever heard - this bolt smacks the lake to my right. ...BABBBBOOOOOOMMMM now to the left and the skies opened up. I couldn't see a fuckin thing. the rain was comin down soooooooo hard. I clicked down to 2nd and rolled on VERY slowly. the water started to pool on the ground. I was glad that I threw on the PIAA driving lights ahead of time. I threw on the hazards (that's right bitches - I have hazards) on for safety. There were cars pulled off cause it was coming down so hard and the lightening was hittin all around. Fuck that - I rolled on. The water started to drip down my back and pool in my crotch (or I peed myself - I couldnt tell). Of course it had to hit it's hardest on the downhill curves right? Fuck you mother nature.Originally posted by OreoGaborio
WET... WET... WET... WET... FUCKIN WET.
The intensity of the storm lasted, realistically, about 7 or 8 minutes but it certainly felt like a lifetime of white-knuckling the downward spiral of puddles and rivers.
I hit 2 more a little less intense but still 2nd gear ones later.....![]()

I left the track just about 3:30 and stopped at the 106 and 202 junction to gear up and gas up. When I got to the 93 293 split right where the road usually opens up...there I was, stopped in traffic. As I got closer I see cop lights and figure there was an accident, but low and behold, apparently I just missed a tremendous downpour because there was a river going straight accross the interstate. On the North bound side there was a car facing south bound against the center guardrail and on the South bound side was a car stuck in about 3' of water. Luckly the river was only a few inches deep by the breakdown lane and I saw some Harley getting through...I figure if the Harley can make it...so can I![]()
I made it all the way through Boston and then hit the band of rain that was headed north. I did about 40-50 miles in the rain but I still made it home in record time!!

Hey I hope everyone is feeling OK, it was fun to come up to the track.
Kind of wish I had gotten some of that rain instead of Nikon. I thought I was going to get housed in my bicycle race yesterday from being dehydrated in the sun at NHIS.. no problem I finished pretty well but not in the money. Saw the biggest puddle of blood I've ever seen in my life too, at least you usually don't see that up at the speedway due to FULL GEAR! Anyway it sprinkled but we never got the downpour to cool off down in Providence.
Thanks everyone for helping me out with my tires, next time I'll try to chip in and help out instead of just borrowing tools.
Oh and much thanks to Honclfibr for the sweet route home.. almost zero traffic and I almost erased my "chicken strips" in the first 50 miles due to a few good curves. Glad I got the new tires!
Ben
i think he means someone crashed during his bicycle race, which means when you crash you bleed but that doest happen to us usually because we have full gear on, they are wearing spandex
