Daytona!
Anyone planning on heading down? I'm missing the trip to Deal's gap unfortunately but as I just found out I'm gonna be taking home some tire money that will help cover some expenses. I think I might be able to go if I plan it out well. Is anyone planning on heading down? Room in their trailer to take a bike or two? Maybe room for a person? If not I don't mind flying down, but if you want a secondary driver I'm game for that too.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
So Tempting
Any details Jay...What dates
Will my CCS license be accepted to race there?
Now you got me re-working my whole budget....dam!

It's a CCS foruma USA event so your license is fine. the weekend is 10/20 - 10/23, though I'm not sure what goes on the week leading up to it. I have some friends in the area, so I wouldn't mind having my streetbike down there as well if I can find the room. I wouldn't mind cruising around, maybe spending a few days on the beach and treating it like a vacation.

I'd be up for heading down to lend a hand.

Ride space in the Avie is available too.

Now I really gotta try and get the funds together.
Chasing you and Jay around at Loudon is fun, might as well go and chase you guys around down at Daytona too![]()
I'll see how real I can make this dream.

I really need to think about this. I could win a Shit load of $$$ from aprilia contingency.
Even as an Am. They are paying 2500.00 for first. How much do we think this is going to cost total trip?

Just got the newsletter from CCS. 110 for CCS pre-reg, and 125 for FUSA races pre reg. $175 to run the team event. I'd like to head with you Dan but I don't think I can take all that time. Where do you stay while you're down there? I have a friend I could stay with about an hour or so away. I would definitly want to bring the street bike as well.

i might consider it. its the ROC weekend right? my boss from AZ might be there. if its a CCS event GT races pay money. its fake ccs money but it will help pay for racing next time in Daytona. Do you have the dates for this, i havent gotten my newsletter yet.

The money for the races is not CCS money, from what I read in the newsletter it is cash in your pocket. There is no novice though, can I see a show of hands on how many of us novices will be taking money from the amatures? I don't see that happening for myself.

I would be up for it ! Like Jay I don't think I could take all that time though. Can ya camp out at the track? cuz I sure as shit can't afford a hotel room![]()

I did a Google search for both "Daytona Raceway" and for "FUSA"
and got some info for the Oct 28th and 29th dates.
You can camp out, but it appears to be more pricey than Loudon.
I forget what the numbers were right now.
If enough of us go and we caravan down it may not be that bad.
.....We could hold a fundraiser party too...."The Send the NESR Racers to Daytona Fund".....you don't need to donate just money either.
Tires and race fuel gladly accepted!

That sounds like a good option. How many bikes can we get into your trailer? If I could get the street bike down there I could stay about with my friend an hour or so away. We ahve to bump up to run the Am. events right? What races would you be doing?Originally posted by legalspeed

7 bikes if we have to; 5 for now. need generator (maybe have one already.
camping on the infield is for class-a, and is very expensive
yes to bump up; races;maybe only two + endurance so we can pimp on the strip.
get a room at lest one or two nights at treasure island. places are cheap.
BTW, it's a blast!

525$ for rv with hook-ups; 225 for a tent- Thur to sun only.
I like Daytona.
LRRS\CCS\WERA #486
so if you are a novice then you cant run with the AM class? do i have to move up in order to race in daytona? that doesnt sound right.....a CCS license should allow you to race at any event. i understand that CCS doesnt have a NV class but wouldnt they just put you with the AMs
