Re: So who's ready and who's scrambling?
I will be starting the rebuild sometime tomorrow.
Let's see:
Hang bike
Take everything down to frame and engine
Rebuild and replace forks, head bearings, brakes
Order goodies
Fix questionable wires
Install goodies
Rattle-can the bodywork
Swap tank
Order and mount tires
...and finally, a shakedown run in the new neighborhood!

Re: So who's ready and who's scrambling?
Bike is together and safety wired.
Body work is painted. Still gotta spray number plates and clear. Probably finish that Saturday night. Should be completely done, with body work mounted, by Sunday night.

Drive down tomorrow night. You can give it your mushroom stamp, autograph it, and then we'll clear over the top. Preserving it forever. I will be a shrine to wasted, unused penises everywhere...

Re: So who's ready and who's scrambling?
I had no idea I had to grind down shit like my front fork gaurds, they hit the tire...I was grinding shit for 2 hours last night and I have more this weekend

Re: So who's ready and who's scrambling?
Umm, Seth, they're plastic, a hacksaw or something would probably work.

aha, by grinding for 2 hours I should have specified that was spent on metal shit...they fork gaurds I did with a dremel and only takes a few minutes

Still wrenching.......well, I mean not this second rather, generally speaking.
Waiting for head bearings is about the only set back at the moment.
Paint will be finished by Weds and everything else is ready and waiting for the shakedown run.

Re: So who's ready and who's scrambling?
Motard is ready. I had my mechanic install my slipper clutch today while I was teaching -jro- to ride motocross. After sitting in a cold garage for 5 months the RMZ started up 2nd kick and sounded like a champ.
Slipper installed and tested.
Anti-Freeze drained and Water Wetter installed.
New Carbon/Kevlar mudshield installed.
Left to do:
Change oil before Friday
Have tyres rebalanced Friday AM (thx BostonMoto!)
Install new AA battery in laptimer.
Check chain tension.

You have no excuse to be scrambling. You have an entire shop at your disposal.
