Stock to Stock I believe the GSXR is faster. With the Mods i would bet the CBR would win.

Who gives a damn about what bike is quicker over the quarter. The latest literbikes (even 5 year old literbikes) are all so quick that no one who reads this will be good enough to ride one anywhere near its capabilities. Not even on the track. (Well except a couple guys on the forum but I doubt they will read this)

But as said, with all the drag mods the CBR should have the edge. Won't matter a damn if the other bike has a better rider though. Personally, I could give a shit less how fast my bike, or so and so's bike is. Isn't the idea of having something designed to race to race it? In your shoes I'd want to know if I, on my drag modified bike, could beat my buddy on the other bike. Head to the strip and find out! Let us know how it pans out.

Why ask the stupid question in the first place? Get your ass to the strip and find out for yourself. As others have already said, much depends on the rider. You are only as quick as your weakest asset.

With 6 race weekends under my belt, ever, you're right - I started off on a slow bike. Figure I'd learn to walk before I tried to run, you know? My last street bike was a race R6 with a shitload of motor work. This year I'll be racing an ULSB Hawk some, and I'm still in the market for the right MW race bike. I should also be on the track on a MW this year I'm just not interested in going fast in a straight line - I'd rather be on a road course I figured you'd be someone that got this?

I was only messing with ya. I completely agree. I've been to the drag strip with some friends and didn't bother to make a pass myself because it just doesn't interest me. for sure the road course is where its at.

and I want a small bike too. I'm just waiting for Scottie to finish the damn VFR400 so I can buy it

I figured as much. I wouldn't be running shitty mcbikefest if I couldn't take it I just figured based on your avatar you'd get the desire to get it done in the turns & on the brakes rather than in a straight line
