I don't know if it'll be his first win, but i wouldn't be surprised if he did win at Laguna. I think people, including Spies himself, are under estimating his ability and drive

and oh yea...
Ben's a fucking machine. That's all I've got to say about that right now.
A fucking machine...
I don't think Ben is underestimating himself. Who waltzes into WSB, grabs the championship, and bounces in one season.

No chance for spies in 2010. Rather like richie
Hey, if I start a thread asking how everyone thinks Richie's season will go next year, will it turn into a Spies bashing session?

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
I would love to see Spies do well next season, and I'm always rooting for Rossi but I think that Lorenzo will definitely put on a good show.
As long as he can keep it on two wheels that is...
I didnt know Pittenger's real name was Ben...and how do you know he is a fucking machine?
on a less serious note, Spies will be on less of a bike than the fab 4, but i think he will do well for being on a satellite team bike. and will most likely land a Factory ride in 2011, maybe as Lorenzo's teamate when Rossi takes the Duc world by storm!
Considering all the factors that were stacked against him this year in WSB: new team, new courses, stiffer competition, not to mention the issues they had with the bike all season, I think Spies should be very competitive next year.
He also has Colin Edwards as a team mate and mentor, who did very well for the Tech 3 team. I'd imagine he'll be running mid-pack while seriously challenging the fast-er guys.
Dovisioso had some great races his rookie season in 08 that landed him a Factory Ride with HRC. I def. think Spies is a much more talented rider than him, so I would expect a couple podium finishes with maybe a win tucked in there depending on circumstances.
If Lorenzo continues to progress as he has, next year should be a very good season for him, all he has to do is crash less. And I'm hoping Hayden will find his fast on that Duc too.
I think next year is going to be a great GP season.
