Just got an email from Wanda (as I'm sure many you also did) with an attached NEW schedule saying all previous schedules for the October weekend (including the one posted in the 2012 rulebook) are null and void. If you didn't get a copy, I uploaded the new daily schedule for Oct 6 & 7: http://home.comcast.net/~gecko.69/Oc...w_Schedule.jpg
Not only do the races start 20min later because of the legends cars, but F40 is now moved from Race 6 to Race 12, the last race of the day on Sunday AGAIN.![]()

Here is what I just sent to Wanda.
Hi Wanda,
I can understand changing the LRRS Saturday schedule to fit in the Legends Cars on the Road Course, but it appears to me that you used the wrong Sunday Schedule (same schedule we followed for LRRS Event# 6 on September 1-2, 2012).
I currently pre-entered for Thunderbike & Formula 40 Lights as were originally scheduled to be Races 4 & 6 on Sunday. The schedule you just posted, now has these 2 races as Races 10 & 12 on Sunday (followed by a 12-Lap Legends race).
If you really intended to repeat the alternating Sunday schedule to be the same for LRRS#6 & LRRS#7 back-to-back events, then I will probably cancel my Sunday entries (don’t want to race 6 races later than originally intended).
Thanks,

Bob, what makes me think the Sunday schedule was not a mistake is that she stated in her email that "[t]his schedule replaces and voids all previous versions including the version printed in the 2013 [sic.] LRRS Rulebook." (Emphasis added.)
Someone had told me that they had talked to her earlier in the week and she said that F40 was going to be Race 12. I told them she must have just made a mistake and showed him the Rulebook version of the schedule. I just cannot grasp the logic in not sticking with the original alternating Sunday schedule.

Another nesr member called Wanda earlier to confirm the schedule to be that which is written in the rule book. She told him it was not. It was this call that prompted Wanda to send the email. So no mistake. Because of this change, I know of at least two others who had planned, but will now not compete in F40.
I'm sure there's a good reason for this, and its all for the greater good of many and not just a few (select individuals) ... I suppose it won't matter much anyway because with the onset of Alzheimer's, most of us 40+ will likely forget this ever happened by next season anyway....

Uhm, no. F40 wasn't Race 6 the last weekend. It was race 11 or 12. If understand correctly, they moved the motards to the last race because of the special track set-up/configuration ... which the motard guys wanted. To have the motard race earlier would have delayed the subsequent races for set-up and clean-up for some time. If you want special consideration, you have to be willing to except some inconvenience. If this was the reason F40 is once again the last race of the day, we (the F40 crew) would have rather the motards run the usual track without any special set-up/configuration.

A 12 lap legends race on the road course can take a really long time considering any portion of a lap under yellow doesn't count.

yeah I wanted to be done after race 7 but since I wanna do UNSB I gotta stick around to race 11. Its the last track time for a LONG time so I'll take it no matter what the order is

I don't get how it comes out this late, moments before early registration closes. Did something change that caused it to be delayed until a week before? I too am not excited that F40 is so late but as Brett said it is a long winter. Guess I will have to miss the early bird dinner then.
