Mixed emotions here, sad to see May go but I think it's a great opportunity for Zemke. talking with a buddy earlier, does anyone remember Zemke racing anything besides a Honda??

Nope, I met him back in the *day* when he was riding for Bruce Transportation.... who knows what he rode in Cali but I'm pretty sure his entire AMA career has been on Honda's up till now.

His first year in like 97 or 98 was on a Suzuki with the Cycle Gear Team. He battled LRRS's Rich Alexander for the championship.

Contract was up and he wasn't asked back. Currently no ride for 2010.

He had a OTT video of himself promoting that he was looking for a ride for 2010. Also I beleive I saw a banner ad for himself that he was available for sponsorship.

Alex, Did Geoff have a 2 year contract ? (2008 & 2009) or was it a 1 year in 08 and renewed 1 year deal for 09 ?

Basically a 2-year. Year 1 then he had option to sign on for Year 2. If he didn't sign on for Year 2 by a certain date then the team could sign other riders. Obviously he re-upped for year 2 before that date.
