what is this?

anyone know what kind of ninja this gas tanks looks like it would go with? i bought it about 2 years ago because it was advertised for a 88 ninja 600R and it is nowhere close to a match. There is no part number on it either. The tank is a little dirty because its been in storage. Any thoughts?

The tank will fit 1988 thru 2007(?) EX250's

That particular color I have no idea on the year.
