Choice 1: Don't listen to DBConz.

For your riding, Pirelli Diablo Rosso should fit the bill nicely. Support your local NESR tire vendor and PM BostonMoto to see if they can get you a set.

Since the last race weekend I've decided that BostonMoto will be getting all my tire money
(Which is currenty 0 dollars, since I still haven't paid them yet )

Pete, I might be wrong, but i think they can only get the dual compound ones for the street. everything else they have is for the track. If they could have gotten Diablo's, I would have bumped that to choice 1, to support Degs & Denno.

    Re: Which tires are best...

We sell Diablo Corsa III's which are an excellent street tire and are awesome for trackdays as well I'm assuming you'd want a 120/190 combo on that 1K, which I have sitting in my garage right now.

$325 mounted and balanced at the track or $335 local

Feel free to PM Boston Moto with questions or orders.

buy the least expensive tire in your size. all the major brands sell sport and sport touring oriented tires that will work better than you will even need. if you want to pay for less miles and more sticky that you'll never use because it makes you feel better go ahead. Otherwise, I'd look for the best deal from Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop or Contintental on their Sport Tour selection.

Yeah, that price seems awesome. Naults and MOM's seem to be near $400 mounted and balanced.

Now, I'd assume that price is obviously with the wheels still on the bike?

    The Corsa III's ROCK!
Front end feel is spot on...which means there is no pushing/sliding, neutral or disconnected feel...they stay nice and sticky without getting slick, and the duel compound on the rear tire is excellent...however, if you are looking for a more mileage oriented tire, check out here http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...ypersport.html

Metzler SportTec M3 is also very good...but in NH, you'll be paying 400+ for the set mouted and balanced...

    Re: Which tires are best...

I'm pretty sure i'm going with the pirelli's everyone is saying that they are really good and they like them alot... I want some that sticks.. The tires on my bike now are horrible and front tire is bubbled for some odd reason.. Noticed it the other day, i knew it was bald but not bubbled checked the pressure and it was fine i don't know i think it just might be the tire i would like to get new ones this week..

Isnt it off the bike (that is, if you are at the Track, and have the support to take em off) for the BM deal?

Cause that's where you are getting beaned at the Dealers, cause it takes 30 min to mount and balance two tires...but its a bit more labor intensive (and the mechanic has the incentive to go slower) to take em off the bike, put em back on, adjust the chain...blahblahblah...

that's with the wheels off the bike - if you're up at the track and you ask for help - there will be a bunch of people willing to help and let you borrow stands

That's exactly why I brought it up. I get an extra hour ($75) of legitimate labor if the wheels are still on the bike, at my shop. Labor isn't free. It always amazes me how people that can't do it them self, are also not willing to pay someone else to do it for them.

(and by the way... techs work flat rate... which means they are getting paid for 1 hour to do a tire swap on the bike... whether it takes them 30 min or 1.5 hours... they are getting paid 1 hour for that job. a tech NEVER has an incentive to go slower.)

Buy some tires from Dennis and PM me. I can swap them for you for $37 per wheel (wheels on the bike, tires mounted, balanced, and old tires disposed of...). I'm about an hour south of you.

And, if you're going to go the sport touring route, consider the Avon AV55/AV56 Storm. They last forever and stick to the the road very well. You can get them for around $260, shipped at a few online dealers.
