Greetings Brothers,
THe old bike fired up after an oil change, air in the tires, a freshly charged battery, and 5 minutes of cranking...some of blue and black smoke (I assume from the foggin oil) but after a 15 mile ride, all is as goods as it was last summer.
The question is, does the bike NEED a full tune up? I can certainly clean the carbs and change the plugs, but does 6 months of sitting in a garage require more than I have done?
Any thoughts are appreciated, and the bike is a 85 Nighthawk 650SC. Probably older than some of the members here...

Why are you fogging the motor when it was only gonna sit for 6 months? Dumping the crap oil and putting in new is usually all that you'll need if when cranking it over for the first time (assuming you've already followed basic winterizing tips......draining float bowls, using gas stabilizer, and maybe a trickle charger). You can put new plugs in but I don't see a need if the older ones are still performing.
