**cough cough, Suzuki, cough cough**
Don't be mad, it had to be said!!
Seriously; look up TLRman.

If you run it with the choke on, does it still have this problem? If so, sounds like you're running too lean.
I'm no carb expert, but if it were me, I'd take a look at my pilot jets. They control the gas/air mixture in the lower end of your throttle. If you had a plugged jet, you would be running lean at up to about 1/4 throttle I think...
The idle speed control doesn't change the mixture, all it is is a screw under your throttle butterflies, as you turn it one way, it pushes the butterflies open more at idle, turn it the other way, it closes the butterflies. Just like rolling on the throttle, only it's static. Primitive, eh? I was pretty amazed when I found that one out a few months ago while working on my bike...Another thing I found out, if you turn the idle adjuster too far, that screw falls out, and then you have to go put it back on.
Heh.. I think it can even happen on a EFI bike.
I had it randomly happen once during a shift a few weeks ago. Very, very weird. Couldn't get it to happen again. This little microsoft logo appeared on the dash.

You let it warm up for 5 minutes, but do you let it get up to operating temp before riding it?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Don't feel bad.. My fuel injected pasta burner needs to warm up in 90 degree heat.. Even if i have been riding it all day..

Heh. Try a fuel infected V-twin 'zook! I gotta let my TL-R get up to above 100 degrees before I can even think of takin' off...

Time for a JET KIT!![]()
You got COLD feet!
My TLR is sooooooo rich, it'll run backwards when it's cold.
