Anyone have a PCII cable?

I need to download a new map for my Powercommander II and must have lost or misplaced my cable.

I am looking to buy or will be happy to just borrow one for now.

The cable has two 8 point connectors on it, (one on either end). Even better would be the 8 point to a USB if it exists??

Anyone know where I can get one?

I went to radio shack, and they had a connecting system that would run from the 8 point to usb but wanted $40 for a stupid cable... If I have to I will end up with that $40 cable.. Just thought it was a bit steep for a simple cable.

From the pictures I've found online for part 42924090, it appears to be a DB9 cable. Maybe a local computer shop has one for you? Make sure you look to see what gender you need (male == pins on the end, female == holes) on both sides of the cable. EVERYTHING is cheaper outside of radio shack

If you have access to an older APC power supply, many came with these cables standard and no one hooked them up.

null modems are f/f you'd have to throw a gender bender on there to get it right if that's the case.

Half Squid - You shouldn't lose a map when you lose power to the PCII.The maps are stored in flash memory, not RAM.

Try calling Boyd cycle in salem mass. Talk to dave. tell him I told you to call. He gave me a pcIII usb cable last month for free. He told me they usually just throw them out. Not sure if he got a pcII but worth asking.
