So thanks to Nestreetriders.com I found someone to mount a new rear tire on my bike – scottieducati, AKA Scott Lian, out in Waltham. Big thanks to Scott for the service and a note to anyone considering these tires for their bike: They're great tires to ride on but a real bear to mount! We wrestled mightily and for considerable time before getting that tire on the rim! It's the stiffest carcass either of us has ever encountered.
I chose these tires because Bike magazine (UK) rated the original Roadsmart as best sport-touring tire and the bike they used for the test was a Triumph Sprint, which is what I ride. But Bike never mentioned how hard it is to mount these things! But now that it's done I'm a happy guy and ready for my road trip starting Wednesday.![]()
yup, mounted a set on the wifes S3. stiff they are.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Mine were easy, dropped them off and went for ice cream; came back in an hour and paid the guy.
