Hello folks, I'm interested in installing an Ohlins rear shock to my K8 GSXR1000. I have a stock one on now, and a full Yoshi Exhaust system (not just the slip-on). I was wondering, do I have to remove the exhaust to install the Ohlins?![]()
No.....just have 2 jack stands handy. I would do the linkage bolts first down below then pull off the seat and I think its a 22mm nut right there... throw it on the jack stands allows the swing arm to drop and slide it out. Prob takes all of 15-20min. Is this a street bike or Race???? If its race I have some Ohlins shims that you may want to throw in....

THnx, Pigman, It's a track day bike, and mostly street. Just curious, what are the shims for?
