I dont post here much, but need some help.
I changed out the spark plugs on my 10R yesterday, and to make matters worse, one of the upper motor mount bolts cross threaded. I backed it out and ordered a few new ones.
The bolt goes into the frame just above the head. I cant re-thread it as I only have 2 inches to work with.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Helicoil (sp) or just Tap it to a bigger thread size and locktight it.....no bigggie
Also try and run a tap in the hole and see if you can clean up the threads a bit may be a pice of thread still in there ..

thanks guys... I found a tap kit, will try from inside the frame to retap...
Why Kawi built the mounts like this is beyond me...I managed to scrape half the skin from my hand so far...going back for the rest of it tonight.

shawn nailed it. i couldnt remember that name (helicoil). chris said it wasnt hard when he did it on his R6. i'd suggest you talk to him for installation tips/questions, but he may start sending you pictures of himself in a g-string. just dont say i didnt warn you.
