    Re: HID Kit?

that is not an HID kit, it is just the angel eye ring that you put around your existing headlight bulb. installation should be just a positive and a negative lead and you can add a switch if you want. if you are looking for a true HID kit with the angel eyes then the installation is a bit more complex, but not too bad.

You should look at something like this if you are looking to convert to true HID from a normal headlight bulb.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROJE...Q5fAccessories

you would need the ballasts as well with the above kit, although they sell them that include the ballasts as well.

yea i know, im looking for the complete thing. what the angel eyes with the HID unless people recommend other kits that are better. In the process of doing some research to see whats up, this is all new to me.

    Re: HID Kit?

    +1 on ddmtuning.

can't beat 65 bucks. that's what i have in my bike.

if you want halo's too, generally, you would get projectors too. and have the halos around the projectors.

with an HID kit in there and randomly just putting angel eyes in, without projectors, it will probably look weird. and i'm not even sure how you would mount the halos by themselves.

if you want to modify your lights so they are brighter, without paying 150+ dollars to put projectors in too, you can just get the HIDs themselves.

ddmtuning.com . specify the bulb that fits your bike. slim ballasts. 35watt is fine. some people opt for 55w. up to you.

    Re: HID Kit?

the HID kit without the projectors is great and a lot brighter, I went that route on the past 2 bikes, but adding the projectors on my bike this round was an even bigger improvement. yeah, it is 150 vs 65, but IMO it is worth it for the even brighter output and the clean cutoff line.

Either way though, it is a huge step up from the stock halogen lights.

    Re: HID Kit?

I put in a HID 6000k kit from DDM Tuning. It has Hi/Low with the same bulb and it took me a couple of hours due to the amount of stuff I had to remove and re-install on my older ZX (1997). Well worth the dollars and time spent. I`m putting them on everything I drive now.

    Re: HID Kit?

here is a video of the HID (6000K) with projectors that I just put on my FZ6... did not come with projectors. I am about 10 - 15 feet from my house but you can see how focused the light is as well as the nice clean cut off.

you dont have space for a ballast? I have 3 hid ballasts running on bike and had no prob concealing them.

The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not forget where you came from.
