Anyone live near Billerica with a garage? Front sprocket change.

I need to change my front sprocket. Have not done one in years but I seem to recall that the bolt holding it on spun off clockwise instead of counter clockwise. I was thinking of just leaving it on the kickstand in neutral and turning the nut counter clockwise as usual and no biggie. If anyone knows otherwise or would like to help, shoot me a line. It's a 2009 Suzuki TU250 so no major deal. Should be simple. Going up from 15 to 16 teeth. You c an just call my cell at 617 512 5654- Neil

Depends on the bike. My 99 SV650 has a right-hand thread, so it threads "normally".

You may need a decent sized breaker bar, since they're usually torqued over 100 ft lbs.

The longest bar I have now is about ten inches. Guess a trip to Sears is in order. I'll try to read the threads on it and see which way they go. Sometimes it is hard to tell if not much thread is exposed.
