Can anyone recommend a good place to have mine cleaned? I know there are plenty of DIY methods but I would just rather use a pro and be done so I don't have to worry. Close is good - I am in Andover.

Mine have always come back within a week
Is there a tune uppy difference or more just maintainence

Dunno but this bike sat for a lot of years - last registered in 04 as near as I can tell. I have cleaned out plenty of carbs and I am thinking injectors have even smaller tolerances.
The bike seemed to run and start fine but I just rode it around my house a little - no real road riding. I have it all apart as a winter project and want to make sure its ready come spring.
So to answer your question... yes.
Proflow, like bergs says. They will clean and balance them and send them back with a report.
+1 and they did mine and was spot on and few day turn around....

FWIW and doesn't replace service. I traded emails with a Yamaha engineer and asked him at one point about fuel treatment. He recommended Techron: apparently their Ring Free additive is similar.

Okay, I know I'm being picky about semantics, but I want to know if there's something I'm missing.
I understand cleaning by ultrasonic/solvent/flow/heat methods. Makes sense to change the inlet screen and O-ring. I get flow testing (measured volume over time) and checking the spray pattern before and after cleaning. I've never heard of an adjustable injector. AFAIK they are just a solenoid that opens. You can increase fuel pressure or duty cycle to increase flow, or install larger injectors. I didn't see any mention of adjustment on the ProFlow website. Someone help me out here, how are they being balanced and or adjusted to match each other? I don't think they are, they're just being cleaned to meet a factory acceptable range.

I believe they just run them after cleaning. If they are within acceptable tolerances, good. If not, replace them.

The injectors are electro MECHANICAL devices
There may be a considerable difference in how fast or how much they open
I could imagine
putting them on a cleaning rail.
Then checking them, and only if they do NOT perform maybe taking them apart for a tune up/polishing
Maybe lapping the valve seat etc.
