I just had my tires replaced and now when I push the bike forward there is a knock that sounds like it is coming from the front sprocket area. It does not knock when I roll it backwards. The alignment sliders show that the axle is straight.
Maybe the chain is a bit too tight? (I forgot to check that)
Any ideas?
the Chain sounds like a viable option.
I have to bring it back to have those rubber blocks replaced in the rear wheel. (not really sure what they are or what they do). I'll have them check it. Just ride the Shadow til then.
I've only worked on dirtbikes, so not real familiar with streetbikes.
Thanks everyone.
Nothing major. Chain was just a little tight.
Um, just a question. Did someone forget to replace the rubber pads in the cush drive? If so, who?
" In the name of the Spedo, the Tach and the Holy Throttle, Amen. "
I had the cush pads on order. Found out they needed changing when we took the wheel off, so I went a weekend on the old ones.
Just a little FYI , if you pull the chain to tight and ride it . you can put to much tenshion on the output shaft, and it will make noise , usually a whiney sound.. thats bad.. shorten the life of trans and or bearings..
