Great time fellas, thank you again Jay, Dan, and Rolando for all the help. I learned a shitload and I'm not so nervous taking my bike apart now. The directions were just fine Jay, and yeah, those roads aren't half bad. I'm definitely in for any future class you have, especially the suspension one. A few pictures, because I can't go anywhere without taking pictures...

I can deal with a dirty air filter. What I really need is a new left GSX-R mirror...Originally posted by HBerry

I should have checked, I bet the TLR uses the same mirrors...
saturday was a great time. i actually got a lot more out of it than i expected i would. it was cool to put faces to names and meet everyone. Jay, Dan, and Rolando, thanks for all your help. nice meeting you all.. that goes for Joey and Mike as well.
Jay - next time I'll bring the prefabs
Rolando - those roads we rode up to Jay's on were fun. i normally never get to do any riding like that. i need to go out on the next ride. what would you say the pace was on saturday? to me, i thought it was a little faster than what i'd consider a slow pace.. which i liked.
Joey - thanks for the pics.. i like the one of the side profile of my beer gut.
Mike - i already forgot the name of that place that'll tune and dyno my bike. need the info again.
RJ's in Nashua, exit 8 off of route 3.
I'd say that was a slow-slow medium paced ride.

WOW! I was sincerely concerned that folks may have NOT gotten enough outta it. I'm bummed we didn't get to the brakes though. I'll be happy to do those with you any time you're all ready. Doesn't hafta be as a group, we can do it one on one too. Hberry probably doesn't need to worry about that 'til the end of the season though...
-I'd hafta guess that Jon (bump909) got the most outta it...
-Joey (Proulx06): DOH! I'd be happy to buy some touch up paint for your new mirrors. I can't believe I did that! The fucktards that worked on your bike previously should be shot, period. I can confidently say that you now know how much NOT to tighten shit...
-Mike (HBerry): I'm not sure you got as much outta it is Jon & Joey. At least now you know why you go over everything EVEN on a brand new bike, EVEN when it's assembled by a 'dealership'. Another PERFECT example of why NOT to trust 'em. On the brighter side of things, maybe the 'crown' of the roads'll even out the wear on your rear tire now...
Again, I was concened ya'll didn't get enough outta it. I'm really happy you did. Our objective was to get you to a point that you could do this very basic stuff yourself and avoid getting raped at the dealership. I'm glad it went well...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Oh, and a hearty "thank you" from Jay, Degs and Myself.
Sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle; that we are a free site and it takes some money and effort to keep the board online.
A few hundred bucks a year does not sound like much, until you add up 5 or 10 years of it, then you're talking thousands to keep you idiots entertained!
Thanks again for your donations to NESR!

Shit, getting the fairings off is worth $30 in and of itself. And Jay, don't worry about the mirrors...they're not "new" by a long shot. The rattle can paint job was new, but it'll be destroyed and due for another coat in a month anyways - you just chipped the third or fourth coat this year anyways. Not a big deal.
You could have charged twice that and it would have been worth it.
And an extra thanks to Cheryl and your beautiful daughter for putting up with (and singing for) us.
Jay-
Having you guys there and preventing me from getting pissed and stripping my oil drain bolt or putting too much oil in was more than worth it, plus we had a nice trip up 107!

Hey guys Saturday was fun. Glad to meet you all and hang out with you for a bit. Plus I am glad you all learned something
Legal and Jay thanks for helping me out with my forks.
Sorry you thought it was fast. To me it was just a good pace, nothing crazy.Originally posted by bump909

please, don't appologize.. i really thought the pace was perfect actually. i just wanted to get an idea of what speed people would consider that ride so i know what group rides i should jump on in the future.Originally posted by Buddhaman

The reason there bigger on the left size is because my rear tire was not alinged correctly, it was 1/8th of an inch off. This might not sound like much, but my tire wear proves it!
