How hard is it to replace a brake lever?
That crazy wind we had 2 weeks ago blew the bike (03 R1) over and broke my brake lever. I took a quick look at the mechanics of it, and made a qucik ref of the mechanic's manual I have, and it looks pretty easy. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is dealing with the tension on the brake line. So who has done this, and how easy is to replace?
thanks in advance,

2 screws...probably one of the easiest things to replace...no nothing needs to be done as far as tension...this is the frt brake right? the rear is easy too....just a couple more screws,,,
yeah, it's just the lever. like i said, it looked pretty simple from a quick look at the bike and manual, but I have replaced enough shit on cars over the years to know that just becuase it looks 'simple' dosn't mean there isn't any hidden problems.![]()

you would think its a fairly simple fix. Would replacing the front brake lever mess with the little plunger/ piston in the end of the brake line??(the end where the lever is located)dumb question but just curious.
