My tires are only due in this thursday (took me a bit to get around to ordering them), so I called today and left a message around 4:30 when I got out of work. The message on their machine mentioned automotive repairs, so it sounds positive, but I'll wait until I hear back for sure.
I'll post back when I hear for sure..

As an update, Jim called me back and left a message saying to give him a call when the tires are in (which they came in today, a day early!), so I called him back. We'll be setting up a time sometime soon.

Update: Got both tires on with disposal of old tires for $55 in about an hour and 15 minutes or so (he hadn't worked on a Buell before). Took it for a little spin to be sure everything was in order and came back raving about it. I believe his exact words were that it was 'the fucking piss'.
He said he'll be basically doing this stuff out of his garage all winter and into next year (and for the foreseeable future).
Suffice to say, he's in my phonebook now.![]()

Thought I would use my first post to let everyone know that Jim is still at it. Just got back from getting my Pilot Road 2's mounted up. Give him a call if you need some tires done and save some $$$$.
anyone know of anywhere in boston (or close) to get tires changed out cheap? PM'd hammadown and bumped his thread, but nothing back yet, and i need to get this done asap. chelmsford is probably a little too far to ride and get help with transport.
Does Jim still mount tires? If so what is his current contact information?
Thanks,
Thanks, rode there yesterday on my metric cruiser. I brought the new front tire with me and he did the tire changeover in about 40 minutes. He also took the wheel weights off and installed the dyna beads for me. Left the old tire there. All for $27. Pleased with the service.
That is a very fair deal. The best I've done is $18 at a shop in S.D. Well worth the trip to NH. The only question is.....can he handle fragile race wheels? Manual bead breaker?

going there after work tomorrow change two tires thanks to nesr & all the posts for info
Jim just did a set of tires for me this past Friday. He still wants more work and is greatful for the business that this forum has thrown his way.
Like was mentioned before, both he and his wife have "regular" jobs so if you leave him a message on his voicemail, he will call you back and set up an appointment with you.
Still $20/wheel off the bike with machine balancing.

Jim's still at it for those who lurk NESR. Funny bastard and does good work. Two tires installed on bike, chain and sprocket replacement and inspection for $150.
Ahhh Man why did i not find this earlier!! I just went today and made my appointment for my inspection, and put money down on new tires. gonna cost over 300 all in all, this would have saved me a lot of money.
Just had Jim mount & balance rear tire off bike. Great job. In and out in 15 mins. $25.
He said it's about $50 per wheel if you ride in.
Wish he was closer to here, I need a tire changed and the dealers around here don't like putting tires on that didn't come from them.
Buy spoons man. It's not hard at all to swap a tire, especially tubeless.
Seriously considering it,, am real sick of the drama and hoops I have to get through just to get a damn tire put on, and dealers wonder why they go out of business,,
I just had both tire replace today by Jim Pidgeon, Manchester NH 603-668-5093. $60 for the set mounted/balanced, and the wheels were on the bike. The $60 included disposing of the old rubber. I dropped off my BMW and he lent me his. My bike was ready at the time promised. Talk about outstanding customer service!
He said prices differ a little based on the type of bike and how hard it is to remove/replace the wheels.
