Well I did it this time., while trying to remove a Pro Bolt Pad Mounting Pin, it freaking stripped it. So I tried everything to get it loose, and destroyed it. So now I guess I'm going to have to replace the caliper. It's a K8 GSXR1000, so it could used an upgrade or replacement. Should I get a used stock one? Are they reliable? Should I replace both if I do? Do I get an upgrade, and what are some recommendations? Got a trackday coming up in a few weeks, and really don't want to miss it.
Those calipers should be cheap on eBay. Aren't they 100mm spacing? If so, a variety of calipers should fit. I thought I saw something about Yamaha calipers on GSXR forks being a hot set up with the west coast SV race guys.
so different forms of screw extractors all didn't work?

I had the same thing happen on a set of 06 calipers...had a machine shop remove it. WAS A HUGE PIA..
If you going to replace them go with either 06 and up R6 calipers with the spacers or a the direct and huge upgrade is the 09 Mono block calipers... with the Brembo 19RCS it will toss you over the bars and no fade ever.... OEM master is the week spot also so...
RidersDiscount usually has a killer price on the Master also...
These..
