swapping the left side case cover

swapping out a rashed stockwith a n nrc.

2 questions.

1- shoudl i put sealant on t he new gasket entirely?
2- regular silicone gasket sealer is ok?

PS when it ook off the old case cover a toothed wheel fell out. i just made sure it went back inplace and rotated freely... this is ok right?

sounds like your starter idle gear.
Well if the bike starts it is ok.
How is that?

What kind of silicone stuff are you using?
You are probably ok with just the new gasket.

Put a little sealant on one side of the gasket and oil on the other. I like Yamalube quick drying sealant. That way, it'll come off intact and can be re-used the next time you need to take the case cover off.
