Bike repair lesson around Boston?

I'd like to learn how to do basic repair and maintenance on my bike ('92 Nighthawk 750) but I'd rather learn hands-on than from a book, so I don't mess the whole thing up. Is there someone in the Boston area who could give me a lesson/tutorial for an hour or two on basic repair skills? I would pay and could come to you (I live in Allston). I especially need to know how to do on-the-road stuff as I'm going on a long trip this summer. I'm a fast learner. It would be very much appreciated.
