ok, i noticed yesterday that my seat is starting to get a small hole in the very fron bottom corner as the fabric rounds the corner fron side to bottow, it is not a problem right now but as we all know small tears turn into big tears. does anyone know of a way to stop/slow down the tear? or should i just let it go until i have to re-fabric the seat? if so anyone got any deals on re-fabricing seats for the future?
duct tape... do the whole seat
I'm sure stock seats are cheap enough on ebay, that'll probably be your least expensive alternative if you're not gonna re-fabric it yourself.

Bring it to an automotive upholsterer. I had my Sargent's green stripes replaced with grey ones for $40. I'm sure a small tear will cost even less.
+1 for duct tape

I actually have an extra stock seat now that I got my Corbin, and I was thinking about getting some silver vinyl and doing it over - not sure how much it would be but it's easy to do, just need a staple gun. If you want I'll trade you my mint stocker (I think it's mint anyways) and I'll just recover yours.
sounds good to me, where did you get the corbin and how much? i may consdider that too but stock is actually really comfy. let me know if you end up re-covering and wwe can trade.
I got it used off the YZF classifieds. The previous owner was a shitmop who tried to mask the blue piping with a PERMANENT MARKER. Trying to figure out how to get that off or cover it up...it looks pretty ghetto right now.Originally posted by reiobard

It's actually much harder than stock and not very comfortable for long rides...you feel every bump moreso than the stocker...I was dying towards the end of my long day in the saddle Saturday...
But my wife is more comfortable with it and it does do a better job keeping up separate when riding 2-up. That's why I'll keep the stocker for when I go out myself...
