So, way back when I bought this off of him, I told him jokingly "hopefully I don't wreck the thing LOLz"
hah. A year ago I did just that... high sided it while riding like a jackass. I got messed up (6 broken ribs, collar bone, that sort of jazz) and the bike sort of did, too.
anyways, I rebuilt it last summer. One of the best projects I've ever done. Replaced engine covers, clip ons, etc. Redid the sprockets, chain. Added HIDs with a custom delay I soldered up at work. And took the old fairings off, sanded them down, epoxied them, and took them for paint at a shop. I had to buy a new upper fairing since I smashed the old one, but I prepped all of them for paint which saved me some coin.
I also fixed it's overheating issue when I tore it apart. Thermostat + some bent radiator tubes along the outside of the frame. And I redid the front brake pads as I never ever use the rear. Details.

I've still got some minor stuff to do like swap out the old grips for new ones that I have sitting in my apartment, as well as replace the 'used' frame slider, but I got pretty lazy and rode it instead of working on it as soon as I got it buttoned up again and in riding shape.
