I am replacing the timing chain guide and tensioner on my 96 ZX7 (Ninja 750), and I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing something like this.
I have the engine out of the bike, and there is no side timing cover that would allow access to the guide itself. I could pull the head...but would prefer not to.
Any help would be appreciated, I will most pics as soon as I can.

Yea....I have the manual, the dealer manual. It tells me how to take the engine apart, which would allow me to replace the guide. It does NOT say anything about replacing the guide alone, only how to replace the chain as well, which requires popping the head.
Maybe the Clymer would tell me a bit more....but I doubt it. Plus there are usually short cuts that experienced engine people know that the book doesnt tell you about.
