I'm lookin to add some "Bling" to my old-ass 1982 YZ250 in the form of a kick-stand. I get really tired of hunting down a tree to lean it against while trail riding, nevermind the headache when cleaning it. I use a homemade bench-type stand to hoist it on when it's not being used, but I would much rather have a real kickstand. I don't care about weight, after all it's 22 years old.
Any recommendations?
I saw those swingarm mounted ones, but they are pricey ($150) and the bike isn't worth three times that. If I can get away with something in the $60 range I will be happy.

ha ha ha....just what I was gonna say......a good ol' milk crate!
Thats what I use for my 89 YZ250!
You can make a stand that goes in the axle. Go to home Cheapo and get yourself some round bar stock that will fit in the axle hole. Bend it in the shape of a triangle with a 2 inch piece on the at a 90 degree angle where the last 2 corners come together.
I probably just made no sense but I know what I mean. I think???

As long as you have a hole in the rear axle, we sell premade triangle stands for $14.95. I'll have one in stock on tueday. jon, cook's cycle, walpole 508-668-1811
Picked up one of those triangle things on Ebay for $5. Shipping was $5. All set now, thanks guys!
