Warning Labels!

Ok, I have an 03 R1. How the hell do I get off the warning stickers from the tank without leaving a big mess??? I started to peel one, but it looks like shit!!!

I think THAT'S A SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS THING TO DO, without the warning sticker, you might forget and ride without a helmet or proper gear, you might also consume alchohol or other drugs, it's also a bad idea value wise, you bike will lose half it's value if there is any original equipment missing,


why do peeps remove stickers anyway?

hair dryer & goof off or some kinda crap remover.... Goof off, Bug remover whatever works

Little bit of heat w/hair dryer, than remove jizz with WD40. Remove wd40 with car wax, good as new.

..as long as nothing's under the clear:

-1500+ watt hair dryer hi fan+hi heat, keep it moving, start peeling at one edge. Once you get it, heat the area just south of the radius of the peeling area...all set.

-Try not to scrub or 'buff' until you're cleaning up the area post adhesive.

-Go to the painting or auto detail section of walmart and guy the goo-gone spray gel (silver spray bottle about 1/2 the size of a normal one) this works the best in my experience.

I use GooGone for crap like this. Removed a ten-year old pin stripe on a car with that and a carefully aimed hair-dryer. Washed and waxed afterward. Seemed to do the trick.

wheveryone else said....hairdryer and Goo Gone. However, i might add that Goo Gone comes in different strengths. some of the really strong shit can alter paint finish a bit. Go for the "citrius" stuff and should be fine. Just real the labels to make your getting the approprate stuff.

that's one of the reasons why i use bug remover... easy on the paint

Usually with a hair dryer, you won't leave any glue residue.
I use this stuff called "goof off" if i do have to remove some glue though and it's never hurt the paint.
Mineral spirits works good as well and won't hurt the paint, it also does a very good job of cleaning chain fling stuff off the bike as well
