Cliffs: Not a great weekend. New bike is down on power, I suck at rain riding.
Showed up, got the camper situated, etc. and went to sleep.
Woke up and rode Friday, fought bike issues all day. Had forgotted to plug in the regulator/rectifier during the build, and the petcock was having issues. Plugged in the reg/rec and cored the petcock, figured I was good to go.
Saturday, bike was still down on power. Reason unknown. Ran a VERY eventful ptwin race. Had a bad run into 12 with an expert lapping me on the inside, ended up in the grass. Put my head down and rode harder to make up lost ground. My buddy Mike crashed in 6 and threw some rocks onto the track. I hit a big one with the front tire at full lean and soiled my leathers. Stood up, let the bike recover, got back in it and realized I couldn't even SEE my carrot anymore. Settled down and just finished the race.
Sunday: I suck at rain riding. It's worse when I am blind. Foggy guard didn't help. Duct tape didn't do it. Foggy + Fog X from a garage mate did the trick. Thansk Don! The end.
Big thanks to the bazillion people that helped with the bike issues and the fog issues. More huge thanks to the sponsors: Advantage Contracting, Commsat, the EXmafia and HawkGTforum
Now to figure the bike out and come back with a solid bike for the pro school and classic.
First of all..I can't believe you hit that rock and stayed upright.
Second of all, nice job this weekend. It was your first weekend on the new bike and I am sure that you will have it sorted soon. Let me know if you need any help with it and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks bud!
I have absolutely no idea how I stayed upright from that. I let go of the bars, grabbed the bike with my knees and stood up on the pegs. The bike sorted itself out.
Appreciate the kind words on the performance. I was disappointed but it could have been a lot worse. I just need to figure out why it's not making power, as soon as I get home (this weekend I hope) compression and leakdown tests are the starting points. Motor has 6600 miles so I suspect it's a tuning issue. May have to go find a dyno.
thanks again for not running me over.
hopefullly i'll have more time to chill next time i'm up there.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
You already know this recommendation but... valve adjustment and carb sync.
It's good that you got the bike running good enough to get out there. Good job with that save in 6! Let me know if you need help wrenching on the bike.
