cliff notes: scored a 1st (my 1st AM win) 2nd in the dash. 4th and a 3rd , also had good starts which is def a weak spot of mine. and best of no crashes
race 9 not a deep field but hey i will take the win. If i can remember accurately i took the holeshot and never looked back, ok maybe once or twice.
Dash: good start. got 3rd into one, behind josh and tim. managed to keep pace with them for the 1st couple laps but they are just keep bringing it every race and break away from everyone. I managed to pull a gap on 4th place and was content on 3rd, plus i didnt have much of a choice tim/josh checked out. Apparently josh went down and i managed to hold onto 2nd.
sunday
race 4
another good start was running 2nd. My boy Jeff #540 (holeshot king) was leading. (his first AM race) i knew josh/tim were behind me so i knew i needed to get by jeff asap and hope i could pull out some kind of gap. Push it too hard into 3 and go wide 5-6 guys go by. i am pissed. Pushed it hard to get thru some of the field. catch back up with jeff (running 4th) and just couldnt find a way by for 3 laps. finally out brake him going into one and go around the outside. I am starting to reel in Kevin but he has a good size gap on me and i just ran out of laps to make any kind of move. take home 4th
race 9
great start! get the beautiful power wheelie thru 1st, click 2nd. holeshot is mine! running 1st for lap and a half i run a bit wide into the bowl and brian #707 goes inside me. we are side by side coming out of the bowl and all the way till 9. he has the better line so he takes over 1st. I had to ease up for 9 didnt get the best entry. so that sets up tim to blow past me on the exit. the two of them take off on me and i hold onto 3rd. (side note result page show an expert as 1st AM winner. brian 2nd tim 3rd me 4th)
congrats to tim/josh/brian on the wins and letting me know i got a shit ton of work to do til i catch em. Also Jeff for a very respectable 1st AM weekend a 4th and 5th. Also thanks to kitt and meg. i know meg got some money shots this weekend
congrats, i saw your start in the dash and it looked like you launched good
