Saturday morning was pretty uneventful with both practices going ok.
I waited around all day for the 20 lap MWGP race. In the race I got a great start off the line but was tentative going into T1, 1A, and 2 with so many people so I backed off and lost a couple places. I got a passed by a few more people and started holding my place until the race was red flagged. We all came back into pit and hung out while the clean up ensued. Pete came and gave me some water and gatorade and told me my tires was in awesome shape and I'd be fine on it (after Kevin told me my tire looked like shit). (I should have put new ones on before the race...all part of the 600 learning curve I guess).
So with the newly inspired confidence that Pete gave me in my rear I set out to do some damage. Off the launch I didn't rev high enough and got a decent start. Again was timid into the corners off the start and lost a few places. The it became a pass fest. My tire began losing traction out of T2 and out of T6 because of my shock and it got into my head and I started going slower and slower (ok ok so I got a little tired too). But I made it the full 20 laps and slowed from 19's to 22's.
On Sunday I missed first practice and went out for 2nd with new Pirellis (thanks MTAG!). I was still getting the slip going out of the corners, so we tried a few more suspension adjustments.
HWSS I got a decent start and again had suspension problems. This time in the way of the front tire locking up under braking for T3. We made some adjustments for MWSS.
MWSS I got a pretty good start after a little contact off the line and ended up tailing Mike Weyant. I would catch him in the back section and would lose him in the front section. I think I was gaining on him a little bit until my suspension gave up on me and the rear shock started causing the rear to slide again! I ended up with a 1:18.4 that race which was great with the issues, so I was happy with the performance. And the front issue from HWSS into 3 was resolved as well.
Here is the video from MWSS!
I would like to thank all the people that helped such as my teammates, Tony's Track Days for the track time and instruction, Woodcraft for the go fast parts, Pine Motor Parts for making me look good with the paint, MTAG Pirelli for the grippy shoes, Street and Comp for everything else that I could possible need, MOM's, AestheticRain for the web site, OTM for the great pics, and All Balls for keeping me rolling! Also a special thanks to Joel Allen for helping out with the suspension and other things. As well as my team for riding tips!

You did amazingly well considering the issues you were having with your suspension. Man you really closed that gap up FAST in MWSS!

It was a blast watching you and Michael battle all weekend. You were both cookin'. Looking forward to seeing what the rebuilt shock brings...
Sent out the shock to Ohlins USA today so hopefully it will be done right this time!

I looked at that tire & was like "ehhhhhh crap"... but there wasn't a damn thing we could do about it at that point so I figured hey, he knows it's about toast, he's talented enough to keep it on two but he'd probably go faster thinking it was somewhat alright!
Great job this weekend, bro.
