I could have passed Smutty a couple of times in T3 during GTU but there was another person between us. Could have taken them both on the brakes but pussied out. my season is over, I hang my head in shame cause judging by how much he was dropping his times all weekend I don't think I'll be able to pass him now.

ok here's the real report.
GTU 6th
HWSS 6tth
MWGP 8th I was amazed at one point while I was battling with someone when we were going down the hill into T6 Wood comes by on the inside and Shane Narbonne comes by on the right side. I'm not sure if Shane passed Eric right there or not but holy hell did he come by fast (to eventually win).
pretty much spent all day in the 1:24s not great but even the EXs seemed to be about 2-3 seconds off pace so that's about right I guess since I was doing 20/21s my last round last year.

MWSB 5th
MWSS 6th I just could not get around Ben Hicks who I had passed in every race prior to this one. I showed him a wheel a couple times but didn't have the pass. turns out we were both running better. he must have gotten sick of me passing him before. it was a good time though. best lap of 1:23.587. best part of the race was when Narbonne came around me in T1 probably only 10ft later from where I crashed. I think he had his knee tucked in because it would have been on my bike if he stuck it out. I was just about to flip for T1a when I saw him in a flash and kept my cool and just ran it a couple feet deeper before flipping over.
back at it in 3 weeks with a track day earlier that week. hopefully the weather will be much better and I can get back to good lap times.
big thanks to my sponsors and everyone who made the weekend so much fun despite the cold wind.

Everyone was off pace so I dont think you have much to worry about. I am sure you will be right back at it in three weeks where (hopefully) we will have some warmer weather.

Good job Brett... don't let the slower lap times in round 1 fool you, you'll be running top 3 Am. easily. See you next round.
