Ok Cliffs...
Worked on the Hawk and left the house 3 hours later than I had planned, float stuck and I filled the crank full of gas. Cleaned the carbs and thought I was good to go.
Pack and get to the track at 9pm. Crash for the night. Up in the AM and the bike is only firing on one cylinder, clean the carbs again and it still isn't working, pull one plug and it is fouled, clean it and it runs better.
Do friday practice, rear brake overheats and seizes when I come back into the pits, boiled the fluid. Still don't know what caused it. Bled the brake and had no issues in the races. Did crappy (1:28-1:30's) and never felt right in 1 or 6 and completely lost alot of my references and markers. I was able to shake the bike down so it was worth it.
GTL (what was I thinking? 14 laps of HELL) Went into 1 last and Finished 17th out of 23. Stayed ahead of Rick and got past Rob on lap 10I am an official Expert!
ULSB Finished 10th... Dropped a couple 1:24'sMore later.

Always turn off the fuel on a carb bike because of what you mentioned.

That is what Daniels was. It is an easy way to get HP/Torque. Pistons and a boar is all that is involved. Head work = more $
