Happy birthday to me. I love being the underdog even more so with a stock motor. 50ish HP.
Race 8 P89- Lights.
3rd wave behind AM's. this is going to be how many AM can I put between Robbie and Bill on the new Monsta motor and me"
1st red flag ended the race on lap 7 I believe.
I need more of a break to catch my breath.
Race 10 ULSB
I get the whole I know what the Tards Cav. Arv, Shaw, Block are running great and just know that I would be off the podium. Out of shape/overweight and Im just going out to have some fun and make it interesting in the mid of the pack riding with my traded buds. In practice I was trying some things I learned from NYST. Off-camber turns and working on stepping the rear tire out on the right hand sections. So in practice I was doing the same in 1A and 3. I felt nice and comfortable getting the rear tire walking on me on the flat in T3 with shagged tire only knowing what a new set of Bridgestone's would do.
Line up on the grid and nailed the start. Front 6-12 off the ground and to the shift in 2nd gear and driving to T1. There is Trevor and then Block just out breaking me on the outside of the apex in T1. No problem, I'll just see if I can settle in behind them. Hey. I'm hanging with them. Lap 1 is done and I'm just trying to catch their draft. We come into T3 and I take block under the brakes. What the hell I'm in this lets push it.....In and out and right on Trev. lap 3 I roll up on Trev in T3 and show a wheel on the flat as we drive up to T4 apex. Lets see if this gets under his skin a little..... Lap 3 he takes T3 it a little wide and I had already begun to set up the underneath pass. In and out to T4 apex and drive to the left side of the track and down into T6. Here I hold it. Head down only expecting him to just motor on by. Lap after lap where is he. I'm still cranking along with my 50ish hp. The crew on the pit wall is giving me the close signal and I just keep hammering away. White flag. WHAT THE HELL I'm still out front???? Clicking away. Driving up T4 motor man rips right past me on the left. I am flat out and using all my power. The kid just found another gear. Right on his tail. 6-7-8-9-10 I see Roland up ahead. Ohhhhhh this is gong to be interesting in 11-12 As we get to Roland I roll off a little as Trev may get hung up in T12 right. I'm setting up the drive out to drag race Trev if he gets hung up. If he gets hung up I win If not he wins. He pulls the Expert card and rips right Roland just at the apex and all I could do was just have the best seat in the house for that maneuver. It really was a thing of beauty. All I could think was that was AWESOME to see him do that and pull the fastest lap (01:18.965) of the race for the win.

HAHAHAHA. You got SECOND! :-p
Happy birthday old man. Watching you race is a thing of beauty as you are one of the smoothest riders I have seen, like Carlos Checa but on a 87yr old turd bike. I am surprised the wheels arent made of wood.
Ok, in all seriousness, what a BADASS weekend. 19 flat on 50hp? You really make the rest of us look bad.
