Finally got some 16's this weekend! That is all, race reports are trumped by 1500 pics meg took of all us, and video's (including one of yammy644 trading paint with me...)
anyway, shot out a couple 17's earlier in the year, haven't been on this configuration in the dry.... spent some time figuring out my line in 1 (still figuring it out).
Ran a bunch of low 17's and 17.'s as well as a 16.7 sat, and a 16.9 today... pumped, hoping to build off that next time back.

Kitt I got a chance to watch you in 1 today for your races. Your line didnt look too far off from the "faster guys" in the group. One of the only real things I think I saw the "faster guys" doing than everyone else was using more throttle to transition the bike over to flop left and right for 1a and 2 and then a more aggressive turn in after 1a to setup for T2. Other than that the lines were pretty close.
Congrats on on that 16s

Great job man! How are the Dunlops?
they were great... tried a soft rear, stuck great - wore fast... tried a med+ rear - stuck great - looks great after 16 laps. med front - looks great after the entire weekend.
most people swear by 'em - I loved em last time but tried other options... the pirelli's had a little more "feedback" than i though necessary (sliding around 1 and 9 in an 18 sec lap).
I may try the 209 AMA spec rear, i will report if it's good... supposedly within the last 2 weeks it is new line, and some of the fast guys liked the rear, wanted to stick to 211 front. (a 209 rear is a little more cost effective - used to be the US 209 has no feedback, supposedly fixed. the nice sticky Great Britain 209 = 211 ntec last 2 years.)
!!!!
You looked really good in the bowl! I guess Kitt and Dunlop go together like Lady Gaga and her penis!

I was up in 1 this afternoon so got to see a lot on that side of the track. One of my friends that runs your races ran the AMA spec a couple race weekends ago I believe. Said it was amazing for the first race, then iffy for a second race and then fairly useless for the third when he switched back. If I remember correctly. Seemed like it was a great tire if you were sponsored or had an unlimited tire budget. Id have to ask him to get more info on it though.

Nice run Kitt. You looked smooth out there. Tim even mentioned that he had a hard time getting around you. Congrats on the 16's

You looked great out there man. Kick-ass. Congrats.
Oh, and 1500 pics? God damn!
Man, you think that bike is ugly you should see its rider!
Seriously though, awesome! How can I get my hands on a few of these? I'm guessing there will be a few days of editing, etc. before they are available? I'll be thrilled to get any I can, I've been changing a lot recently (and apparently it's working!) so it's good to be able to see how it looks on the track.
Nice going Kitt.![]()
Heard you were running with Simon (#103 from our garage) in UNSS.
Gotta get that one pic meg took of Alex (#100 from our garage) in his skivvies & back protector ... he looked like a deranged ninja turtle. Yes, I think its Photo shop time....
Oh, and Dunlop does a bike good.

haha thanks - you know, I may still have somebody's hot-pink scissors from your garage, let them know I'm good for them
I looked through a TON of the pics already, didn't see that one... I will look tonightYea, Simon was clearly having traction issues and I was able to reel him in
I was pissed he was pulling me on the out drives, then on the results I saw GSXR1000 next to his name and was stoked on the pass
Have a bunch of pics of our battle together... btw, is he from scotland?
Ah yes, the hot-pink scissors ... just for you. Thanks, I had forgotten.
Yeah, Simon was saying his tires were starting to go off in race 6 (UNGP). Even then, that 1000 takes off like a shot once it hits the straight. And yep, he's from Scotland.
Hope you can find that pic ... Simon and I were watching as Meg was snapping it ... trying not to laugh and tip Alex off that she was taking it.
