Start:
Nervous riders line up to grid at the start line. I glance around to see my competion of 100+ riders with their eyes on the prize. I'm surrounded by Pittenger/CEO, Oreo, R1, newgixxerchic, G21forme, femmekat, ff36buell, and several other familiar faces. I frantically look for Denno "the wheelie machine" Colwell & 07bladerider. Right away I knew they would be a direct threat to my trophy.
Lap 1:
The flag waves, and we're off. Oreo has a terrible start, and I'm easily able to gain a 1/2 second ahead of him.
I notice the Dangerous Dan K to my left. Without wanting to know how he achieved that name, I quickly made a pass for me & my passenger's sake. Kurlon is no where to be found, so I set my mark for the next pass: Pitterger/CEO. The ZTA duo on the pitbike approached T3 too wide, so I stuffed him on the inside. Barely missing the rumple strip, I get ready for T4.
I shared amoment with CEO where we held hands from T8 - T10 before the pilot Richie jumps ahead
As I approach Kitt on his baby blue bike, I line up to make an outside pass between T10 - T11. He glances over to see who's got the grapes to pass him on the outside, while I'm waving the shocker gloves.
Lap 2:
On the straight in a full tuck, and the checkered flag is ready to be waved. I see the Seth ahead. Luckily, the chrome on my gixxer was able to blind thefor a split second. Enough for me to go past him & slap his ass.
Still no site of any of the BoMo crew, but I refuse to let that bother me. My tires were warm with proper air pressure, so I was ready to go all out. There's a pitbike next to me on full lean from T1a - T2, but I remain focused.
The bowl was were I was able to gain a few spots as I'm passing 4+ bikes at a time with no need for knee dragging.
After so much trash talking from the Schmitty brothers, I scope the leaders to see if there's one to pass. With no luck, I assume my incredible skills have already left them in my dust.
From T9 - T11 I spent my time trying to reach R1's kill switch, but ended up pitting in unsuccessfully. I may have lost a few positions on my finish, but the result would have been epic had I reached his kill switch.
Overall it was a great time, and kept a consistant lap time of 2:24. I finished around 57th, so my index remains high enough to bump for next year's lap.

Awesome, writeup, the whole thing. I laughed out loud at the above. good work, both on the race & the writeup.
I couldn't stay with the chrome, your field of blindness was quite effective. I focused on Dolla & CEO, but the amateur combo was able to best this novice and my unlicensed rookie passenger. I can't believe I didn't think of the kill switch, it may have given me the edge I needed on the ZTA pit bike team.
In other news, Kurlon kill-switched me into the tunnel on Sunday during races, before my actual race. It was a well played maneuver, but with him on foot I was able to restart and still keep the lead.

I bet Larry won again.....sandbagger. I swear he on a built machine.
I was present DBKronz... My ST3 was no match for you... although I think grid positions had something to do with it...

I had a great time on the Larry Lap and couldn't beleive we got to go around twice.
Felt like a kid again,I was flying on the front straigth (ok Jack said I was probably topping out at 25 MPH on the xr70) and did not wipe the smile off my face for 2 days.
You are all so lucky to feel that feeling 8 weekends a yr.
